Hello! Nice to meet you.
I am a Makeup Artist currently living in Vancouver with ten years experience. Originally from Victoria B.C. My journey as a makeup artist started after moving to Australia in 2007. After careful contemplation for my studies I landed a spot at Victoria University in Melbourne studying specialized Hair and Makeup services.
My three years in Melbourne taught me professionalism, independence and to seek out those who think differently. Upon completion of my course, 2011 I moved to Vancouver and chose to pursue a career with Nars Cosmetics. A brand that was founded by Francois Nars. Makeup legend and someone I had come to admire for his exceptional artistry and product innovation. In my six years with the brand I developed skills that eventually lead to a position as a Stylist for the region of BC. In a nutshell, I was to embody the brand and implement artistry workshops for other artists so they could understand how to use and sell products and therefore build sales. Working within the sales industry gave me a greater sense of business and some wonderful opportunities to work with Nordstrom trend shows as a guest speaker and participating in NYFW + LFW.
June 2017 I decided to make some changes and focus on solely on freelance work. This change was greatly supported by iconic makeup artist, Jon Hennessey and his agency, Nobasura. Most of my current work is with Vancouver brands like Lululemon and Aritzia. I have worked on music video sets with Canadian musicians such as White Lung, Louise Burns, MU and Ora Cogan. Some of my travels over the years have landed me jobs doing makeup for celebrities such as; Kali Uchis, Finn Wolhard, Hannah Hall, Mackenzie Davis and Tiera Skovbye. My work has been featured in Sad Magazine, Schön Magazine and various other online publications.
One thing that is always consistent is my passion for what I do. I love working with people and am told that I bring a positive and calm energy while ensuring that my work is consistent with the clients vision.
